Why did the giant chicken bucket fall across Redwood Road

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah – A giant chicken bucket fell off a KFC signpost and into traffic during the evening commute Wednesday. 

An officer who was responding to a different call diverted to the KFC at 4700 South Redwood Road in Taylorsville where the bucket blocked eastbound traffic. 

A Police spokesman said officers diverted traffic around the “bucket shrapnel”. 

The mess was quickly cleaned up. 

Police said they did not know what caused the sign to fall. 

There were no injuries.
