BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Rexburg Police Department executed a search warrant Monday at Chad Daybell's home.
East Idaho News reported that officers searched the home where witnesses say Daybell's son-in-law now lives. Police were reportedly seen going into the house, other buildings, and into the backyard with cameras.
Daybell was arrested in early June after investigators found the remains of 7-year-old Joshua "JJ" Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan on his property.
Daybell's preliminary hearing is set for July 1 after he entered a not guilty plea on two felony counts of destruction of evidence.
Lori Vallow (Daybell), the children's mother, is also being held in the Madison County Jail on charges that she deserted or abandoned two of her kids, asked a friend to lie for her and obstructed the officers investigating the case.
Her preliminary hearing is set for July 9.
